That's not me.

Hmmm .. I guess I'll sell it, unopened.

Just got "the call". Turns out my master cylinder pushrod broke at the weld. Guess I should keep some spares around from now on. :/

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Reset the 'Check Engine' light on my '97 Legacy GT Wagon (again). Codes were for 3 & 4 cyl misfire-- I suspect the coil pack's slowly going bad. It often throws misfire codes when I drive it long distances on a hot day.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Went to Discount Tire and had a huge nail removed and apparently a screw I was unaware of.... free of charge. Thankfully.... the benefits of buying rims from them have saved me a lot as this is my third time for a nail removal in the last 4 months.

I can only conclude that someone or something is out to get me.

Had the alternator on the Silver go bad, so I donated the Claret's since it's waiting on rear wheel bearings anyway. Now if I could only find the spare one I know I have somewhere.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Did this with just 1000 and 2000 grit sand paper and some Meguiars wax I had instead of $25 for the kit:

Also did the low beam 9005 upgrade. Will see how good it looks as soon as it gets dark.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Thursday: kind of hit a couch that was in the middle of I-75. Swerved, but still hit it with the fender. Small-ish dent on the fender (for hitting a couch I mean) and a scratch down the length of the left side of the car. But, the car needed paint really badly and both front fenders were pretty beat up already. So, just gonna have to get it painted a little sooner than I was planning. And gonna say so-long to that stupid pinstripe. This is the blue car of course, the black one got borrowed by my mother-in-law, and then my brother so I haven't seen it in a while (actually we passed each other today ). That one needs paint pretty bad too.

Today: Fixed my starting issues (fingers crossed) with some re-wiring and a new relay. Moved the Hella horns I've had for a while from the engine bay to in front of the radiator (there is room when your A/C stuff has all been removed ). So now they peek out from behind the grill like the wrx/sti crowd always does. Of course, our grille is tiny, so they're barely noticeable, but still. Also did the lift depot trunk struts. They seem pretty good.

Was dark when I got around to pics; if anyone's interested I can get better pics.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Yesterday I replaced the right-side valve cover gaskets on my '94 pearl. (I'll do the left ones in a couple of days...) I was pleasantly surprised that they weren't as hard to do as I remembered when I did on them on my '95 a few years ago. But that time I was doing them in an unheated garage in January in Utah. Oh and did I mention the power went out when I was in the middle of the job?

One of the guys I race with told the story of a guy who was going to meet him in Albany to sell him a Miata. Turns out, the thing fell off the trailer somewhere near his starting point somewhere near NYC and the guy never noticed until he saw the empty trailer at our capitol.

This, of course, has nothing to do with an SVX.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Tinted the headlights and taillights with VHT Nightshades. I think they turned out alright, I'll see how well they shine at night. Might be able to go a little darker.

Anyone know if there's a brighter bulb for the tail light and brake?
