Checking in...first time
Hey, everybody --
This is my first time visiting the site and my first time posting. Just bought a mint condition '92 LS-L with 19K on it...it was a California car purchased new in '92 by a wealthy Chinese family for the grandmother (she only drove it to church and to go shopping.) With her recent passing, the family decided to put it up for sale on autotrader.com, which is where I found it and purchased it two weeks ago. (Ran like an absolute charm back to Nebraska  ) Anyway, glad to be here and hope to be posting frequently. vanzetti

Howdy from Texas! I'm Preston, probably the oldest member of this and the Yahoo SVX groups. I was one of the early members of the Yahoo group and once owned a black, '92 that was my pride and joy. Due to back problems and difficulty getting in and out of the car, I sold it to another SVX Yahoo member and the car went first to Galveston, Texas, then to Burlington, Vermont. I hope it is still going strong. My SVX has been gone for nearly five years and I still miss that car. I'm an admitted car nut, having been addicted at an early age. My wife and I maintain a 1910 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost in the National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada, and we try to visit the car on an annual basis. My current cars include a Nissan Maxima, Jeep Liberty and a Miata which I climb into with the top down on rare occasions. As for the SVX, I doubt that I'll ever own another, but I highly respect the car and those who drive them. Best wishes.

 I've been here for about 2 years. Love the car and the sight well.... I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a more helpful bunch. I am a proud owner of a 92 with most of the options...looking for that rear wheel steerin'. This is the car for NY. It takes the potholes, snow, and the tinny pieces off roads (they seem to think are off ramps here) like a charm! She's been up on jackstands for 3 months now but...I still love her :dead tranny or not.

You know i was just thinking about this the other day but all subaru owners are like family to eachother. Can't say the same about honda, toyota or any other cars. Theres just somethin about subaru owners that are different than other car owners.

I'm Brock from Sonoma County (North of SF Bay), I've been on here since I got my 94 SVX - L with 97,000 miles (laguna blue Pearil) in Feb of 04 (birthday present to me! I go through periods of inactivity as well. I only seem to get on here when I need to research and problem or find a fact. I have started going back to school and work evenings now, so I don't have the time I used to have sitting there waiting for people to buy cars and then have to try and talk them into something like a toyota or honda as my SVX sat there and snickered at me....-lol- Last edited by Brock94SVX; 01-08-2005 at 12:12 PM.

by my count it's an even 200. i could be wrong though. my eyes almost crapped out on me during the count. might be easier to print out the list instead of staring at the monitor scrolling down while counting names....
