Oh yeah, I posted in the "photo" thread. There may be some tech problems getting the photos???? Hopefully I'll be able to post them tomorrow...

I bow in the general direction of Pennsylvania Way to go on that last run...next time you don't get to listen for my final time before your final run

Hi Guys!

Again I am sorry for not being there, but it sounds like you all had fun!!!
Tom and John are about 25 miles away, and it sounds like the trans in Johns sons car is toast.

I just got a call from Chi ke, and he made it home alright.
More later on that.
My brother, Mark5 is here!
And we have five sheets up on the roof.
More later,
Congratulations, all.
Living life is SO MUCH better than watching it go by!

Hey I should just be happy they didn't think it was a Prelude. Granted it wasn't "old school" like a certain RS was???

Yeah it was actually 49.4 seconds if I recall correctly you had him beat

Speaking of rain and Harry, Sorry to see your battle scare Harry BUT we have your trophy and will send it to ya if you'd like. Also we have some spare lugs if you need one. I know it won't be quite as nice but usable until you get a new one. Chike did quite respectable as well after trying to fain illness to get out of his wet worker assignment. Can't forget about him, even though as soon as he saw his Impreza friends he ditched us like we had the plague.

I shouldn't have any excuses for driving in the rain since that was the 3rd time this year I had a very wet course while Dave had dry pavement.

The one around the sweeper? That's the one that we can't seem to get enough camber out of from the single camber bold. We have another one to add to it BUT I wasn't about to put it on and do an alignment in that wet stuff.

I guess the rain had pretty much stopped by the time Harry and Ben ran, but the course was still pretty wet.
Tom's the one that impressed us all, being able to keep the SC'd Beast under control in the heavy rains of the first heat...

When I first read that I thought it was a typo and Tom Johnsons tranny went bad on the drive out there

Then I remembered that they were going to look at Johns Sons car after the meet... and I also realized that I need more coffee

John sorry to hear about your sons Trans, the good news is that I know of someone that is just about to complete building his own garage and is an expert when it comes to SVX tranny swaps Send me a PM if you need his name and number

Tom glad to hear your trans is still good.

Have fun out there, hammer a few nails and drink a few beers for me

Dave,
Absolutely! I think Young Tom's best time was only ~1.5 seconds slower than Ben's best time.

GREAT time at the Challenge yesterday,Guys! Really enjoyed seeing everyone again! I was glad to read Chike made it home okay - I must admit, I'm a bit concerned for him. Chike, let us know how you are doing!!

I hope I have a pic of Tom on the back stretch -in all the rain!! Boy is that car FAST!! Are the times on the Challenge site? Do I get a plaque? Cool, even there were no other G Stockers running ...

Sorry I had to depart early - and I appreciate Tom and John helping to get me out by 2:00 PM. I was able to get home by 4:30 and make the charity dinner in W. VA last night by 6:00 PM.
Later,
Harry

Sorry everyone if I was a little aloof at the event. At one point I wasn't sure if I was well enough to make it through the day, let alone compete. I took my time driving home and luckily I made it back safely. I'll be calling my doctor first thing in the am.

All in all, it was really a pleasure to see each of you again, and I wish I was feeling better and there were more hours in the day...

-Chike

Chike,
Glad you made it home safely! Check over in the picture thread, I think I found some pics of you driving in the Challenge Round.

Car that won ESP and made it to the Superstar Challenge:

Car that came in 2nd and 3rd in ESP (Kevin co-drove my car last year, and Craig is the Head of the WDCA Autocross Committee)

yeah, I don't feel to bad with this being only the second time I've driven my car this season
(Note: The Legacy GT is obviously an STU car and I think the WRX wagon is too....so, I think I was probably the fastest true ESP car there....going to check to see why they were in ESP)
