Yeah I've noticed. I might be starting to regret not going in on the cash for clunkers deal a couple years back.

Not to say he's asking too much necessarily. Looks like a pretty great car. But no one on the forums ever has any money...

Re: '92 Dark Teal - Raleigh, NC

Hard to convince people to spend on a good one ( I did and i never looked back )
Everyone thinks they are gona get one for $1,000 and get it up and running for $500.00 . Buy a good running one like the one above and drive it,they are great cars when they are running good. Price is not out of sight if you want one to drive and not work on.

Re: '92 Dark Teal - Raleigh, NC

Well let's see. No new members other than spam get approved here lately, so people looking to buy can't become members to post in a thread or see a PM.

Most of the people getting into the SVX now, are looking for a $500 car with a blown transmission so they can 4.44 swap or 5 spd swap themselves. $1000 in total and you end up with (at least to them) the same car as what's selling for, in this case, $4000.

If you want top dollar, you'll be much better off on craigslist or autotrader and waiting for that one person who really wants what you have.

It's safe to say that the ones going for relatively more money in the last couple years have not sold through the forum...

Except in this case they'd be getting more than just the trans swap. BBS wheels with new tires, a completely resealed engine, all major maintenance complete, a smattering of new bushings, and a new exhaust system. And all that's on a southern rust free chassis.

But, I understand your point. I won't bump this thread further. I realize it's not going to sell here.

Didn't want to burst your bubble. Try putting an email address in your original post. (skimmed and didn't see one) It may help. It's a nice car and understand that it has a lot more done to it than the trans swap. Which is why I put the "at least to them" statement in there.
I wish you the best of luck and my previous statement wasn't directed towards you. These cars are just a tough sell in general. Posting and bumping can't hurt. I just see people get completely frustrated when they're not able to sell the car on the forum.

I can't say you are going to sell it here, but I'm going to send a PM, to ask some questions....

Re: '92 Dark Teal - Raleigh, NC

Updated first post.

Dropped price to $3,000.

Looking to sell in the next week. Will likely take for dealer trade in otherwise.
