car dealers

I agree with Randy Yellow is ugly on a SVX[/QUOTE]

Gee, I didn't mean to start a debate. I guess you can agree or disagree. I still think the SVX gets overlooked by other drivers - i.e. people pulling out at intersections or changing lanes apparently without seeing me more often in an SVX than in my other cars. Maybe it is the low profile, maybe it is the color. I think yellow would make the car more visible as long as I am not driving on a yellow brick road with forsythia and daffodils all around. I also think the photo of the yellow SVX displays an attractive automobile, even if it isn't stock. "Color" - that's what car dealers like to hear - and it is probably why yellow wasn't in the report I read...it isn't popular enough to be included (except on the Baja???)

Unusualness doesn't necessarily mean not good.

Would you be driving the pink S2000 in the 2 fast 2 furious?

Tom felt cooler and younger when he drove the yellow X around....... (hehe I make this up)

If I recall right, Randy has never said Yellow is ugly on an SVX. Randy said he doesn't like the color on the SVX. Randy only expressed with the big Arrrrrgh.....

If you say thing like this, you will just hurt other's feeling...of course there's not alot!! Check out some threads, there're some people think that Teal is the worst color on the SVX, even said there's a pile of TEAL, didn't care how it look... What would you feel?

I think color option is subjective. It's like what color you want to wear on your boxster, underwear, socks, pants or etc. I respect everyone's car color, as long as it looks clean, nice and safe, it's a nice car to me.

Thanks for treating this more objective...

Here's a lately picture I took at the parking lot!!

Which one looks nicer? They're both my cars and I love them. The teal really gave me a shock one time. I couldn't sleep at the late night and I took a look thru my apt windows. I couldn't see my Teal baby at all and I thought it was stolen!! Until I looked really hard...then I could see some light reflection from the brake light reflectors I felt a big relief (my eyes are good.) Whereas the yellow one, I didn't have to pay attention...no matter day or night, far or close...she is always there saying Hi to me.

I think each color represents different characters. Sometimes people who have more open-minded or younger hearts like brighter color. Due to both of them have different characters/experiences for me so far, I would call my Teal Elegance or Touring, and, I would call my Yellow Sporty or Trouble Still has bugs to work on. Some of my friends like the Teal more and some or more of my friends/neighbors love the yellow alot.

I don't want to hijack this thread by posting too many bananas pictures. This thread has alot of more banana pictures if you want to take a look: (beware, Randy)

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ht=yellow+snow

And, this thread has more than half of the 'special' SVX color you can see on the roads. Which one do you like the best? The yellow clearly gets more attention than pearlwhite and silver among the group...

Wow, the weekend after this! Isn't it fast? Randy, it's glad that you got everything CHECKs. Have fun at the Reading, this is a great holiday for ya.

At this rate, I am still not sure if you can eat bananas in the Reading.
That's okay if you can't stop by in WV. And, I ain't sure if I can make it. I'm budget tight enough. If I don't work for that weekend, I probably don't make enough money for the gas to go, and, I will spend like 200 gas money and alot more on-road expenses. Svxfiles has been encouraging me to go...he won't miss it unless he is dead. He said bring a ball joint and we will do a how-to there, ..etc. At this point, my car needs ball joint, (maybe tie-rods), AC compressor, rear brake pads to make a safer trip. It's not good that I am now having the tranny fluid leak...after the second swap ( I just got her back last thursday).

Let's see what happens. If I go, that'll be a last minute. You have a safe-safe trip back and forth from KY.

Short answer -- NO!!!

Pink is too "girly" a color for a car, even for me (or should that be 'especially for me'?)

How much does a torque converter weigh again?

My answer is possible...** , I wouldn't mind driving or riding in a pink car for some fun factor in a shortwhile. But I don't want to own that thingy.

What did you guys talk behind my back? I'm a big kid with "gentle" strength I weigh only 146lbs today. 30lbs for Tom is like 60lbs for me...haha. I felt thanksful that the big Tom was there to help me lift the almost 250lbs tranny into my trunk. That 250lb load is still in my trunk. I don't want to drive that thing around...if tmr I can't get a decent deal from the tranny shop, my fren(he weighs only 120lb) and I will have to unload this big thing. I hope we can do that...

Ken, THIS quote refers to a question by Chi ke at his first trans swap at Rufus's place going on two years ago
The reason it was funny, is because when Chi ke asked Diana how much the torque converter weighed, he fully expected her to know!
And She did!!

It would be like Julia Child asking ME how to cook!

Thanks Tom, I got your explanations in my voicemail as well. Pardon me, Diana...got the wrong picture.

Tom, how much does my 4.55* Torque Converter weigh now?

PS: I think I bought a used 92(abt 120k) AC comperssor for 50bucks. Tested and working fine as he said...30days warranty.
PSS: Looks like...I didn't see any tranny fluid on the floor yesterday after I tight up the tranny plug. I haven't been driving that car more enough to see since the heavy tranny is still in my trunk.
Later,
