You live to far to convert me...But with a friend that works at a Sube dealership showed me it one day and I spent the next two months saving and calculating to see how well I could scrounge for it.

You know you're an SVX owner when the lack of a clutch pedal no longer impairs your ability to shift an automatic...
You know you're an SVX owner when you try to spit your gum out the passenger side window and it always bounces right back on the seat or carpet. You know you're an SVX owner when you brag about the original MSRP of the car and remind people "that was back in '92...imagine how much that would be now" (ok, so maybe that's just me) You know you're an SVX owner when you go back and forth between selling it and not wanting to sell it anymore, more often than smokers "quit". You know you're an SVX owner when everytime you total an SVX you can't wait for the insurance settlement so you can buy another one... (or, in Earl's case, you don't even wait until you wreck one to buy another...) And finally... You know you're an SVX owner when you pull up next to a regular sedan at a stop light and realize people have to look down to check out your car...even with stock suspension!

You know you're an SVX owner when...
you're at the DMV registering your car and this conversation takes place... Lady: What kind of car is an SVX? Me: It's a Subaru, it's on the title. Lady: Is it a Legacy or an Impreza? Me: It's an SVX. Lady: I know, is that a Legacy or an Impreza? Me: It's an SVX. Lady: Really? Me: Yeah, it's an SVX. Lady: Is that like an SUV or something? Me: (pause to collect my thoughts and not say something completely inappropriate) No, it's actually sitting outside the window. I can see it from here. Lady: Really? Which one? Me: The only one you've never seen before. Lady: (walks over to the window, stares for a minute) Oh my. (comes back) Me: It's an SVX. Lady: OK.
