depends on whether you're looking through the windshield or into the rear view mirror

Yup Bill. I told Shawn yesterday that all he needed to bring to the event was a spray bottle.

Btw, these were the results from yesterday:

DS - D Stock Pax: 0.798
1t CHAD HENRY 05 SRT-4 66.272
2t GARY RAULERSON 05 DODGE SRT-4 ORANGE 67.242
3 JOEL BALSLEY 06 MAZDASPEED 6 WHITE 68.632
4 CHIKE DELLIMORE 06 SUBARU WRX STEEL GRAY 69.485
5 CHARLES VEGA 06 SUBARU WRX BLUE 71.537
6 SEAN SCHUFFE BMW 73.273

I'm seriously thinking of going with a shorter r-comp than stock next year, to gain a gearing advantage. 2nd gear currently takes me to ~70mph at redline on my current 225/45/17 tires, and if I went to a 235/40/17 r-comp, it'll take me to 66-67mph instead.

Chike

P.S. I talked to Shawn about the tire pressure recommendations and he wants to give your suggestion a shot i.e. lowering the back tire pressures (not raising them) to get my car to rotate more. So instead of running 43psi front/54psi rear like I'm doing currently, we may go with 42-43psi front/35psi rear at the Subaru Challenge.

Unfortunately Tom, the Sept event is the same weekend as the Subaru Challenge, and the October event conflicts with another autoX I have with my local SCCA club.

Had a little scare that I wasn't going to make it but the machine came through and the new oil pump is... not broken ... anyway, I am stoked to give her a whirl but don't be surprised if I bring a lot of tools with me... Don't need another episode and me not being able to fix it. So who else is as excited as I am to get to this event... should be a TON of fun

I'm getting really excited as well. I haven't been feeling great the last 1.5weeks as I'm recovering from a sinus infection, but I'm steadily feeling better every day.

I can't wait to see your s/c 6MT SVX in action. Should be a h00t!

Event Schedule

I'm on the WDCA mailing list. I just recieved the schedule.

To Subaru Challenge competitors and non-participants:

There will be 4 heats for the day. The run/work order will be the
following:

Run group A (run 1, work 3): SM
Run group B (run 2, work 4): AS, DSP, DM, STX
Run group C (run 3, work 1): DS, GS, HS, BSP, EM, Ladies
Run group D (run 4, work 2): ESP, FSP, FP, STS, STU

So yes, expect this to be an all day event!!

Still finalizing the schedule for Saturday, but early registration check-in
will be held on Friday night 6:30 - 9:30pm at the SpringHill Suites Edgewood
Aberdeen. Light refreshments will be served.

Let me know if you have any questions.

That's great info Mike! Thanks for posting it.

Tom, looks like you'll be first up on Saturday. I'll be working during your runs...so don't give me to many cones to run and pick up!
