Re: SVX bodykit and front update

I want to see somebody re-body the front end of the car to look like this. I thought SVX was low and sleek...

Alfa has a history with boxer engines... I want a kit car of that car, with a tuned and built EG33 driving the rear wheels through a rear-mounted 6MT gearbox, like a Porsche 968 or a Corvette or something. Dry-sump the EG33, and mount it nice an low, and at less of a longitudinal incline as the SVX.

What is kind of odd... the vents in that alfa's hood, are very close, but perhaps a bit bigger than the vents I thought of as a solution to SVX's underhood heat problem, but I'd put them back further back, toward the cowl on an SVX hood, on either side of the throttle body, roughly where the windshield washers are. That is where the heat melts the snow. quickest, up from behind the engine block and behind the intake manifold. The Lexus LF-A also sports similar hood vents, although there is nothing else on the LF-A's styling that I like.

I don't quite know how to explain it, but it feels like the front of it is too big, needs that pointy look back. Maybe try angling the bottom of the chin upward some, while at the same time pushing it back.

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

Love everything aside from the front bumper. Just not my style I guess but my god your good at Photoshop.

That's exactly how I want my side skirts and rear fender to come together. I wonder how hard it would be to do...

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

Very nice, I like it.

Am I the only one who would like to see the middle brake light on the spoiler rather than the trunk lid? Similar to the concept/prototype:

Do what you like with the front/back bumpers, I still think that the perfect spoiler is the prototype's spoiler/trunklid combo. But since that's not really so easy to achieve, how about just moving the middle brake light up one story?

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

I've always liked the high-mount stop lamp in the Olds Aurora, especially the 2nd gen.

Forgive the dubs... not my idea... this is the only quick image result that shows the brake lights...

I wonder if one could rig up an LED strip on the back edge of the headliner, with some sort of plastic wrap to the glass, inside the top edge of the SVX rear glass.

Even if an SUV pulls up right to your bumper, and can't see any of your rear lights, they would still see the brake light in the rear window. I have never understood why CHMSLs aren't mounted as high as possible, somewhat forward of the tail of the car, the rear edge of the roof, or just inside the glass near there, makes the most sense.

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

Lol that looks awesome! I'd get pulled over every 10 minutes!

Are you able to work out a front for it? Maybe with a Black fiberglass hood or something?

Re: SVX bodykit and front update

That is a race-spec version of the SVX/BL Legacy combination coupe that I have wanted for so long!

Nice job!
