Start saving your $$$$$ in the long run it will be worth it. Unfortunatly the 4 wheel drive is hard to tell of if works untill you try it.

If you know how the car feels with and without the awd properly working, it's very easy to tell.

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

That is true, only after I got the 6-speed in it did I realize the AWD in my 92 pearly didn't work very well. It felt a lot more FWD and you could easily chirp the tires off the line. I think the rear would kick in but it always took a lot longer than it should have. Now that I have the 97 to compare it to I realize how FWD the 92 felt by comparison. On the other hand, the 97 binds just a wee bit.

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

2 things you always do when buying an AWD SVX:

1. figure 8's in a parking lot to see if it binds

2. floor it from a stop sign or light. If she spins you got problems

Re: Vexine: 1992 SVX

well someone with your advance knowledge doesn't need to do this. This is more of a guideline for the "less advanced" buyers.
