Options, cause my 3.7 VTD is going to die
Hi!
Please help) And sorry for my English. Set: 3.7 VTD swap, QC, ATF external cooler - this set was completed 4-5 years ago. I drive in the city at 3. Everything was okay until yesterday. There was a heavy rain on the way but I don't think thats the reason) Symptoms: - Higher shifting points between 1 and 2, 2 and 3 - 4 and R seems to be ok - POWER light doesn't throw a code - Disconnecting the dropping resistor doesn't make sense - TPS adjusted to 0.5V - The worst thing: under normal or strong acceleration sometimes it seems that tranny loosing torque from engine, so you press the gas pedal, RPMs goes up, but no power distributing to the wheels, then in 2-3 seconds and less acceleration torque coming back and you still able to drive it. What options do I have? 1. Install another used VTD? 2. Check ATF level?) 3. Swap to 4.44 VTD? 4. Try to measure the line pressure and pray for some solenoids failure? Thanks, Gleb.

Re: Options, cause my 3.7 VTD is going to die
UPD:
Have just did a test drive. Looks like everything is ok. Shifting points are correct under light/strong/aggressive acceleration. No flares between gears. ATF level is ok, but I don't even remember when the AFT was previously changed. Could it be yesterday's rain? Could it cause these flares yesterday?
