I was just informed by Garth McDonald "Donnyreb" that he has purchased his plane ticket to attend Reading in 2019. Since he is leaving from Singapore this time the route is different. That's a 13,500 mile trip each way! 29 hrs. flying time one way! He also made the trip from Australia to Lafayette for the 25th Anniversary last year... a mere 19,000 miles round trip. He flew in from Sydney to LA, then to Las Vegas to Lafayette. Garth will be spending more time in the air getting to and from the meet than actually being there. And all it takes is an unforeseen last-minute delay or problem with his flight for him to miss the meet entirely. And just for fun, look up ticket prices for premium economy and you will see true dedication! Then add meals and hotels, etc. .
