Door open on dash

My drivers side door is showing it is not closed. So my interior lights stay on draining my battery. I started disconnecting battery until this is fixed. Is there a switch or sensor in the door itself. Never had this issue until now. Any help appreciated.

i'm pretty sure the sensor is part of the latch. you will have to take your door skin off to investigate. does your power seat belt operate?

I had to find my 94 supplement manual to make sure it worked the same from the passive belt cars
the drivers side door handle switch sends a signal to the timer control module
ive seen one of theses go bad
its mounted above the the glove box
