Engine fan motors
Are they supposed to spin in opposite directions? And if not,,, why are mine doing it?? A/C engine fan is pushing air forward..not sucking it back.

Re: Engine fan motors
Somehow, sounds like the voltage is reversed to the motor.

Re: Engine fan motors
Somebody replaced one? Maybe not with one intended for SVX?
I bought a "generic" Four Seasons heater fan intended for a Legacy - identical with the SVX.... this came without a plug - just two wires..... had to figure out which way to connect them :-) Tapani |

Re: Engine fan motors
Switch the wires. You have them backwards. Hey it was a 50 50 chance.

Re: Engine fan motors
These are the OEM original fan motors....never been changed....(here's a cool tidbit though) A fan motor from Dorman is a 4 wire motor with a 3 wire plug ,the negative has been spliced into one wire lead just before the plug... cut n splice in your original 4 wire plug. Dorman tech says ( supposedly) the 3 mounting studs are the same distance as OEM. (P/N 620-762)
