Major service: the tranny and clutch was put in about a month ago

Engine Condition: fires right up, smooth power, very minor leakage, pulls hard, sounds great. no issues

Maintenance Records: not officially but my mechanic has gone over it with a fine toothed comb i change the oil religiously with lucas stabilizer and mobil 1. recent cv axles, new fuel pump,

Transmission condition: great. 2004 forester no problems. shifts great. pedals are from the 2004 forester... my mechanic took the steering column off to get the "factory" type fit. no janky pedals here. new tranny mount. new rear diff mounts.

Glass condition: small chip in front window. all the rest is perfect

Type of tire and remaining tread: 225 40 r18 z rated...90% left

Type of wheels: rx-8 mazda

Interior condition: 8/10. no tears or rips but a couple persistent dirty spots... would probably be perfect with a steam detail. the JDM momo stuff looks nice.

Body condition: 8/10. the front bumper was backed into at 1mph which cracked a little of the paint off. also an unfortunate run in with a piece of a big rig's tire shreds on the freeway caused some paint scuffs on the front lip. the rest of the body is perfectly straight.

Known defects or problems: something is up with the hvac system. i think it needs a new control unit. i spent a lot of time trying to figure it out. replaced the blower motor, troubleshoot troubleshoot troubleshoot...to no avail i think a new control unit and possibly replace the whole under dash parts. i cant figure it out.

Comments about the car:

I LOVE THIS CAR. i am only attempting to sell it because i simply need something bigger... a wagon or forester. i am starting a new business that requires lots of stop and go and being able to carry some cargo... i just dont want to put the svx through it. in my perfect world i would just keep the SVX and get another vehicle, but bootstrapping my new business does not permit doing so :/ it has served me well. i love driving it, i love the sound, i love love love this machine. i am posting it here first to give you guys first stab at it... but it will make its way to CL eventually.
I have put a lot of time and energy into this car to get it the way it is. i recently put the tranny and clutch in, also new tires and the interior mods.
it would be perfect start for someone who has big power mod plans, or wants just a solid driver.

I am open to trades... only subaru. wagons, foresters, hatchbacks, ...try me

Asking price: $3500 w/soundsystem $3000 w/o FIRM (or possible trade)

Thanks for looking guys!

(BTW i will post more pictures of the interior mods, the stereo, etc soon. my phones camera was acting up)

Very nice looking and looks to be a nice price. Just for other peoples info, does it still have the motorized mice seat belts? Hated those when I had a '92 years ago.

Once you drive the 5/6 speed you would be willing to pay for this . The HVAC system failure would be my only concern. Could it be fixed?

Re: 92 satin black 5spd many mods

yes, it has the motorized seat belts.

the hvac i think just needs a new whole replacement. the controller, and the underdash box. it has a new blower motor and it wont turn on at all... there is some sort of electrical issue. it is throwing a code for the air mix door, but the blower motor wont turn on at all. idk. after i spent the better part of an afternoon taking the dash apart and replacing the blower to no avail, the weather got nice and i havnt needed it lol. i called the Specialized Parts Planet in Sacramento and they quoted me around $200 for the whole heater unit from a wrecked car. i just havnt gotten around to it. i am leaning towards that being the best fix, all the buttons function on the control unit.. idk.

the konis are great. they are about ten years old, so they are a little softer than they used to be, but i can't see any leakage.

there are only a few minor issues with this car... another i just remembered: when i replaced the fuel pump the sending unit was busted... therefore the gas guage doesnt work ... you must use the force

i got this car from SVX10 here on the network in November of 2012. i have put more than what im asking easily into the car... she's solid. i really hate to sell her but its a matter of necessity really, unfortunately
