He must be really, really close to Reading. He mentions several Reading area landmarks in the 2002 Mercury Sable review.

I think he tries to hard. He seems to genuinely know about cars, and when he's not trying too hard to be funny, he's funny ("the Sable's cast iron V6 filibusters its way to 60MPH"). But mostly he's just annoying.
