Brake lines, Wheel bearings, minor mods to make the shifting nicer, ball joints, etc. Glass condition: Got your common wear marks on the glass, but otherwise nicely intact. Type of tire and remaining tread: Pirelli P Zero Nero 225/50/16, Needs new tires. Type of wheels: Gen 3 RX-7 16"; Interior condition: The leather's a little crackly but not broken or torn. Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
Is that auction open to the public or does it require a dealer affiliation?

Not sure. You'd have to find out. From what I found online it looks like public buyers can go but you have to register or something.

Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
As of right now it is not available to public buyers. And to become a public buyer you need to go to your nearest IAA branch to register and pay $200

Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
I have the required access to buy this car.
Would anyone have any interest in the parts? I would probably be looking to keep a few things and then part the rest. I just want to make sure it's going to be worth it for me before I commit and make the trip to pick the car up.

Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
I really hope a SVX enthusiast gets this car. There are so many great parts. If I wasn't moving in 1 week, had the place to part out the car properly, and had the time to part out the car I would have got it back from the insurance company. Subachouli I'm sure there are plenty of people who need/want parts, but most won't be looking at this thread. It also depends on what you would be selling vs keeping. Good luck! Hope you get it.

Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
When you consider all of the factors here, you will likely be able to make out well.
It has a well done 5 spd swap, I believe Koni's, and a good running engine. Considering all of this and the fact that likely no one else who can bid on the car will even have a clue about the Koni's, they might understand the significance of the 5 spd, but I doubt this'll fetch more than a few hundred dollars. The only exception is if someone has the intentions of fixing it, researches it properly, and has connections. That would be the only person who would end up driving the bid up. All in all, trust me, you'll be able to sell a few parts for the price you pay for it and make profit. Or have a good keep of spare and special parts for yourself |

Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
I think if I want to find a replacement for my previous pearly. As of right now I am just sticking with my claret. The only other Svx I would consider buying is in KY and I can't afford it right now after buying a house. Thanks though

Re: My 92 Pearly up for auction soon!
Unfortunately not.
I placed a bid but I wasn't around for the live auction. I added up the auction fee and what it was going to cost to have the car shipped to Massachusetts and I wasn't able to bid quite as much as I would have liked to. But someone must have paid good money for the car because my bid was probably more than it was worth to a scrapper. I'm disappointed but sort of relieved. I just finished stripping a parts car and finally got it out of the driveway. A few months ago I picked up a five-speed swap in Lancaster, PA, and last week bought a Stebro exhaust from a member on here. Needless to say, my wife was already rolling her eyes at me.
