Yes, it is a typo, they are 215's, will correct. Thanks, it is nice, and I will keep it if there is no interest, and let Rocket II go to another member whom it has been promised to if there is no interest for The Queen.

Re: For Your Consideration!
Actually closer to 27,000 miles, but rated as 60,000 mile tire and appear to be in good shape for the age.

Re: For Your Consideration!
A gorgeous car. Truly, one of the few un-molested, original ones out there. Best of luck with the sale, Dick! Hope you're doing well.

Re: For Your Consideration!
The car has been stored properly. They haven't been exposed to cold temps that can cause extra tire wear. There are muscle cars and other cars that were stored away at dealers, and 20,30, 40 years later, the original OEM tires still are not showing signs of "weathering" or aging. Conditions are more important than anything with Rubber. Same reason why rad hoses are fine on a 20 year old car with minimal mileage. They haven't been continually heat cycled.

Re: For Your Consideration!
Let's face it a person that spends that much cash for that car is not going to drive it any way. And if they did ,$800.00 for a new pair would not be out of the question. All considered it is a beautiful car. Good luck with the sale . I hope it goes to someone who appreciated how well you kept it. He is only 50 miles away from me . I ride up and down RT 22all the time on my motorcycles. We go right by on our way to Lake George in June. Wish I had some time or it was warmer . That' 2 nice cars in the general area.

Re: For Your Consideration!
A pair no but a set of four . We do change all 4
http://www.townfairtire.com/tftTireSpecials_3.aspx Add discard old tires, tax, balance, mounting and $800. Is not enough I guess. You can buy $115.00 tires and only cost you only. $500 Last edited by Conn SVX; 02-21-2012 at 01:16 PM. |

Re: For Your Consideration!
Dick, sad to hear you put the queen up on the block. Its a bummer with the insurance rates for one person, plus your gender and age makes it even worse. They are only going to keep going up from here. My agent told me the leanest years of insurance rates are between the ages of 50-64. I know the queen has seen very little use and looks as good or better since the day you bought it. I remember when you stopped by my parents house back in June of 07 I believe right after I had bought my 96 polo. If I recall the only spec on the car was a slightly blemished steering wheel. Im sure any member would love to have it. Best of luck with the sale, hope you get what you want for it. Have you put it up on craigslist yet.
YoubeKool!
