$45,000 Canadian.... nothing wrong here. Price is set based on market, not exchange rate. An STi today lists for $42,000 Canadian... down here it is US$37,000... with a near 1:1 exchange rate.

And I think at that time with the exchange rate one of our dollars only bought 65 cents US.

Actually, I know who he is. I almost bought some BBS rims off of him and at that time saw another '96 SVX in the driveway that belonged to his son. He said it only had 25 000 km on it 15 500 miles The thing was it had been sitting there for over five years partially on blocks. I asked him if that was bad for the suspension but he didn't seem to think so. Anyway, I felt very sorry for the car.

One thing to remember about cars from Vancouver is very few of the ones I have seen have any rust issues.

HE pulled the ad . I checked only a day after you posted it and it is gone. I hope people start getting 7,000 + for their cars. That is a good thing .

I e-mailed the guy to let him know I posted his car on this forum and he sent me a response:

Hi, Dave. I tried to register at this site so I could resond to the posts, but for some reason I'm not activated yet. Can you post this for me, identifying it as mine, not yours? I often find people delete their ads on Craigslist not because they sold the car but because the re-posted the ad under a newer date. If you are interested in a car on Craigslist and it disappears best to search SVX on the appropriate one.
