Re: 11:1 Engine Rebuild
This is just a question maybe a little off topic
Why would you want to increase the compressions ratio? Isn't 10:1 high already? Cause most turbo cars have low compression ratio |

If you run Naturally Aspirated higher compression results in improved performance and an immediate kick as soon as you touch the throttle, no delay while the turbo spools up. |

Re: 11:1 Engine Rebuild
Depending on who you talk to, 10:1 and 11:1 is not considered High compression. I'm not talking about race cars or special applications here, either. When you add in the dynamic compression of any supercharged car, you can easily break 15:1.

Re: 11:1 Engine Rebuild
Bill,
You're right. How'd you guess?lol It's mated up to a 5 sp TA(not Subaru) and mid mounted. Have pretty much finished the rear suspension/engine cage and now need to tune up the engine. Looking for 225whp NA. Any suggestions? Mike |

Re: 11:1 Engine Rebuild
I am cleaning out my inbox as we speak. What are your ideas for engine management? I am willing to help in anyway I can. I could even come down and meet up with you for some face to face time, since I am interested in seeing your project. A corvair huh? Sounds pretty sweet.
Go ahead and PM me and let me know of any questions or guidance you have/need.
