Sounds like a deal to me . Drive it home . It will be the thrill of your life on the open Flat lands of Kansas . Been there done that in my SVX. You got 2 people ( not mine) practically giving you cars that need little work. These are people that know these cars. You buy it from a private party on ebay or classifieds that just bought it and drove ityour gona get stuck .

Re: AWD SVX Wanted

I bought my S8 in Utah and drove it home. It was a fantastic experience, and I was able to really test out the car on the longest straight stretch of I80 in Nebraska!

It can be quite fun to take your time and make stops along the way! You'll have a blast! There is so much more that you see when driving from place to place than when you just fly somewhere for a vacation.

Re: AWD SVX Wanted

Are you seriously looking for a car in $1500 price range with only $150 in your pocket?

i know, but issue is not enough $ and long distance. i cannot travel 2,500 miles if the car breaks down then what ? and its gonna cost nearly $500 in gas 1 way.
i wouldn't travel alone, also costs of food, drinks ect....

Sorry bro., keep saving keep looking. My experience is that if you are looking for a bargain you need money in your pocket so that you can act quickly.

That makes one of us! It's a great car - unless you own the silver one, too...

As has been said, though, the cost of entry is one thing, but the cost to stay isn't cheap! When you pick one up, make sure your savings account doesn't get tapped.
