I only say that because Carfax accounts are not unlimited anymore and it seems impossible to get a freebee. I just tried a few days ago.

He's right. Someone awhile back had an Autocheck account and was doing them, however they are no longer arround much, or their account ran up.
Good luck with the potential purchase(s) and might just have to bite the bullet yourself, or see if the owner will possibly do a carfax. Not likely, but worth a shot to ask.
