keyless drive?

does anyone else experience this: when my key is in the 2nd position, i can pull it out. it works if the car is on without the engine, or when the engine is on, and even while driving. i don't know if this was supposed to happen or what. nothing changes with the key in or out, except turning it off. haha

Pretty sure mine does that, too. Not uncommon in older cars with worn ignition switches and worn keys.
