HVLA's. What to do?

Went to order my lash adjusters today and was told SOW only has 19 of them left in warehouses. My contact is trying to locate some for me but I want to know what my worse case scenario is going to mean.

Can we use the buckets out of an STI or other subaru vehicle? I don't think we have aftermarket options on these, unfortunately. I guess the other possibility is convert to solid lifters. I would prefer not to do this. If I did though, how often would they need adjusted?

Hopefully my guy will track some down, but any info on this is much appreciated in advance.
