'94 LSi for sale - Des Moines area- 107,000 mi
Location of the SVX: Urbandale, Ia (Des Moines area)
Year: 94 Model: LSi VIN: JF1 CX3554 RH101724 Manufacture date: 11/93 Paint Color: Barcelona Red Interior Color: Beige/Tan Miles: 105,157 Options: All the usual- sun roof, etc. plus aftermarket CD player/tuner. See photo of window sticker (from when car was sold to second owner) for options. AWD Modifications: after market CD player/tuner Major service: Brakes, AWD transfer clutches re-built by dealer this spring, ignition switch, new fuse box installed. Valve cover gasket replaced. Engine Condition: Good, as far as I know!! Maintenance Records: Not complete. I have most of mine. I am fourth owner, I believe. I was told the car's first owner was the Ramsey Subaru dealership owner in '94, then it was traded 3 years later, then that person's neighbor bought it. They sold to me about 4-5 years ago. It has always been a Des Moines -area SVX Transmission condition: good as far as I know Glass condition: excellent -new bronze windshield this spring Type of tire and remaining tread: Bridgestone Potenza - these were purchased about 2 years ago and only have 6,000 miles on them, according to the mileage on the paperwork from Tires Plus. Type of wheels: stock Interior condition: Good to very good- the driver's seat has noticeable wear , I would say normal for age. Also, there is a small tear in the vinyl where the hinge of the console opens. I think overall the interior looks very good but I realize this is subjective. Body condition: good to very good, some dings...small door ding dent on passenger side. No visible rust. Some normal fading on the mirrors and the small upper panel behind the back doors. Known defects or problems: none. ( Edited to add: I just remembered the switch on the drivers door that raises and lowers the passenger window doesnt always work. The window motor is fine - it is just an issue with the control switch on the drivers door. and Someone broke the antenna.) Comments about the car: I LOVE THIS CAR!!! I am in betweeen jobs and just cant afford to keep two cars! I love to drive it, it runs beautifully, is smooth and powerful, the body is sharp!! I love it much more than my Forester but my Forester is my utilitarian primary car that will likely need some repairs soon. I am listing this SVX on Craigs List today also. Car's recent history: After I bought it in 2006, my daughter drove it for about a year at college. During that year, it developed a serious vibration/shimmy when turning that led us to get her a different SVX to drive. Since I couldnt afford to get this repair done (AWD transfer clutches) for quite a while, this beautiful car sat in my garage a lot more than it has been driven because I didnt have the cash to fix the transfer clutch problem! In the last year I have gotten the ignition switch replaced along with the fusible link and fuse box (old fuse box had some melting on it) to cure an intermittent starting problem, which I have had no problems with since these repairs. I also had them replace the driver's seat motors and fix the droopy visor while they had it in. This Spring I finally had the transfer clutch work done. After I got it home, noticed small oil leak on garage floor..so I took it back to Acheson Auto Works instead of the dealer as I felt the dealer was over-charging me and they replaced the valve cover gaskets. No more oil leaking! I feel it is now in very good shape! When I first got it , it had 96,000 mi on it. I have only put 9,000 mi. on it in the 4 years I have had it! Runs and idles so smoothly, steering is nice and tight,- it is very, very fun to drive. I will be extremely sad to sell it since I finally have it running great with all repairs and maintenance finally completed . Asking price: $5,000- NOW $3600 Pictures: Last edited by Bailey; 10-02-2010 at 11:21 AM. Reason: lowered the price again- need to get it sold |

Bailey - are the last 6 of your VIN RH101724? The 9 you have in there isn't right. Thanks

Re: '94 LSi for sale - Des Moines area- 107,000 mi
So geographically close, so fiscally far away.
Glad to hear the car is repaired, I remember seeing it in the Ramsey lot when it was being worked on. Good luck on the sale, and I hope it goes to a very good home. I wish I could afford it to be mine. It is in much nicer shape than my SVX.

Re: '94 LSi for sale - Des Moines area- 107,000 mi
More pics of my 94 LSi. Shows drivers seat wear, very good interior otherwise, new windshield, ding and faded paint on rear panel behind door (similar fade on other side also, as well as side mirrors) I was unable to take a good picture of the passenger side to show the normal small door dings on the passenger door and also there are 3 or 4 very small paint chips on the inside of the rear spoiler. Really sharp looking and running car. I lowered the price to $4600 on Craigs List.
