Re: 20 in rims
Why? you don't care about turning, braking or ride?

Re: 20 in rims
Of course they can fit you just need to maintain the overall diameter and the proper offset but larger wheels and tires unless you need it for upgraded brakes are a performance killer. Every study I've seen shows a 16" or 17" rim giving the best compromisresults in cornering, unsprung weight, ride quality and braking.

Re: 20 in rims
The best size depends on what you like. I like the 17in rims because it allows for a larger than stock rim which fills the wheel wells better without having to ride on rubber bands for tires. Plus, 17 in wheels are not overly expensive or hard to come by.

Re: 20 in rims
Sure they'll fit, just run 225/30/20 tires.
My take on it is that a lightweight 17" wheel with the appropriate tire will give the best performance. The factory size will give you better ride comfort with a slight loss in handling response. For style I prefer 18's, although I really like the look of my BBS wheels. Going to 20's comes with significant drawbacks. You will feel every tiny irregularity in the road, and as Benebob said the additional weight will hurt your cars performance (However, I always think this aspect is blown out of proportion. Few of us drive our cars hard enough to notice any minor decrease in performance.) The biggest drawback in my mind is that you WILL bend them. Running what amounts to a rubber band for a tire means that any sharp bumps in the road will be transmitted 100% to the wheel, and eventually you'll hit something that will put a good dent in the lip of the rim. If you're uber careful, only drive the car on weekends, and avoid roads that have even a hint of potholes you will still end up tapping something at some point and voila, bent rim. In any case it's your car and you are free to do as you please with it.

Re: 20 in rims
Blown out of proportion. It is stunning the difference that Car and Driver found when they did their testing.

Above that, you will need a "Yoooooo..." or "Pump my ride..." next to the thread title
