Hell, mine does it all the time.. I just jiggle the keys and push till they come out.. Jiggling the shifter and moving it around a bunch seems to help too. Make sure it's in "Park" and whatnot.

iirc a completely dead/disconnected battery sticks the key too.
or atleast one time when I tried to start it with a flat battery it wouldn't give me the key back till I jumped the car to get some power. |

trevor, thanks im going to dig under the dash today. if it is energized and i disconnect it should come out im thinking??? i really dont care that its stuck.. i just dont have another key to lock it. meh.

Its funny, I just mentioned in a thread a moment ago that I never drove a manual car before. How does it stay still? The big brake handle? Mines broked..

under the ignition switch there's a plug you can remove and there's a lever you can toggle to release the key

When you leave the car in gear, it prevents it from moving.
