It will be a big job to install points ignition, carb, and a mechanical fuel pump,,, just the things you said you want on your next car,

But, if you invite me to help out, I'll bring a big hammer and we can get started on it

I emailed the guy with the Mazda and he never got back to me. I guess I dodged a bullet with that one, because the 323GTX is possibly the only car with a less-reliable transmission than the one I've already got. I test drove one years ago, and it was a blast to drive, but neutral was about 90% of the gearbox with little notches to slide into gear and it popped outta 2nd every time I got the boost up. Those cars are notorious for their bad transmissions, but I guess that's what happened back in the '90s when engines started getting more powerful but AWD gearboxes had yet to catch up.

GR8 pics Francis! I'll have to show that first one to my girlfriend, I've nicknamed her "red fox".

MOAR HIJACK!!

I was driving through a nasty part of the valley (Reseda) last weekend and a nice roadster pulled along side at a stop light. I couldn't identify it for the life of me. The light turned green, and I held back to see if it had badging and just then a woman in a Toyota wagon ran the stop light and blew past both of us, just barely missing the exotic car that had pulled away from me. He hit the brakes, and lingered long enough for me to ID the car. It was a Qvale Mangusta! I pulled up to him at the next light, and told him to watch out for all the amateurs on the road. With such a rare car it'd be a shame to have it wrinkled by some clueless lady in a Toyota. He humored me by saying "you too, I can't imagine parts are easy to find for your car." With less than 300 made over a 3 year run, he had me beat in the rarity department, but it was nice of him to acknowledge my "rare" car.

Epic simulation of an enormous asteroid impact, professional quality.

I had to rewind back to 4:15 and watch that part over and over.... wow.

well, i haven't refueled yet. my light usually comes on about 16 gallons used and i expect it to come on as soon as i fire it up to go home from work. right now is: 470.9 miles / 16 gallons = 29.431 mpg. i should be refueling this evening about 493 miles and will be post final results later.

this tank, the svx has been almost exclusively for commuting. the round trip mileage is about 41 miles and mostly 50mph highway drive. the drive to work is an elevation change of about 2300 ft (5800 to 8100), but there are no hills.

i must add that it's been converted to a 3.90 5MT and 90% of the drive is in 5th gear.
