what the heck is with all the svxs in worcester ma?

I've been living here for 4 years, and in the first 3 YEARS, I have seen 3 different svx in town.

I've seen 8 different SVX in town just this SUMMER. no joke.

pearie: owned by some brazilian guy who doesnt speak english (that was an awkward moment). Clean, custom wheels, takes good care of her.

ebony: beat to JUNK with the worst tint job EVA

Polo: not so clean. cat sticker. parks at the armory

Pearlie: custom side skirts. waved to owner chick. She thought I was wierd.

burgundy: clark university sticker

pearlie: becker college sticker

Red: Custom paint. 20" chromies

(actually looks decent)

pearlie: slowly dying a painful death in the hands of a spanish kid who thinks it needs more plastic on the outside.

This doesnt even count the 3 living in Hudson that I still see around town every now and then.

I have a pic of my car up at advance auto parts (my current income). and people dont ask what it is. they are just like "nice looking svx".

Luckily, in all my travels between here in Costa Mesa, Victorville, and Reno..... I have only seen 3 others total. And one of those was Scott's (Sperry's) red one when he helped me out in Reno. I guess theyre more rare out here on the westside.

I have never seen another SVX here in Ireland. They were never sold here, although they may have been sold in the North.

Even driving round England, nobody knows what it is. They sold approx 280 cars over a six year period into one of the largest markets in Western Europe. So even if you used one as a daily driver in England, you would probably never meet another, unless you went to a car meet for SVXs.

In terms of watching them sell over the years I have noticed that there appears to be a bigger concentration of UK SVXs owned by people in the West Country, Devon and Cornwall, a strip maybe from Bristol to Plymouth. I don't know why that is the case. Maybe a high quality Subaru sales outfit, maybe the locals are less hung up on German cars that Greater Londoners, whatever, they have more SVXs there than the rest of the UK.

Suprized you didnt mentions Jame's SVX. The teal with black strips on the hood? Altho i think he takes his Hampster Tersel up to Worcester alot more often.

I have seen the red and black one with the 20"s rolling around, and there is an older guy that brings his really clean ebony to the dealership still for service.

Sadly you wont ever see mine rolling through town again.
