Iris Check Valve Question

So I go to install my new Iris Check Valve (thanks Tom) and find out that the line is already broken in half coming from the intake. So I gently try and move it so I can see what kind of damage there is and the plastic tube breaks off on both sides of the valve.
1. Does anyone know the part number for both ends of the tube?
2. How in the world can I get my fat stubby fingers in there to replace it without taking off the alternator?

P.S. At least this explains why it idles rough every now and then and only gets 20 MPG when I keep my foot out of it.
