Re: HID kits on the cheap.
Probably the same way I ordered 9005's and received 9006's
![]() Check your confirmation emails. I got 2 that confirmed 9005's and then a 3rd that showed them shipping 9006's. They made it right though - sent me a shipping label to send them back to them at their cost.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.
So I stopped at a red light tonight on my way home, and only saw 3 lights reflected on the bumper in front of me. Looks like I lost a low beam sometime in the last 24 hours.
![]() Luckly I remembered seeing this thread lately and ordered myself a pair. I'm thinking I'll see how these work out, but ultimately I'd like to do the yellow fogs as well (something I was wanting to do anyways). They should be here at the same time as my new TPS, so there's my weekend. ![]() |

Re: HID kits on the cheap.
Warning:
These guys are "all out of ballasts" and not expecting more for at least another week. They won't tell you that up front, so if you're paying extra for the 2 day shipping, don't get your hopes up. ![]() Irony is that they're in San Diego, and it only takes a day to ship ground to LA. So I'm expecting a 2 1/2 week turnaround on a part with $20 extra shipping for no reason. Makes me a little reluctant to spring for the other four bulbs to complete my set from them. |

Re: HID kits on the cheap.
And to add to that warning.
If you are ordering from a location outside the 48 states. They charge $60 US for shipping. ![]() Harvey.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.
Put your glasses on ya old man!
![]() So my H3's for the fogs seem to be worth the $ and were shipped quickly. Having to mount 4 boxes isn't quite as easy as mounting just 2 like a kit that OT sells that I have for the low beams, but I guess the lower price makes up for it. Time will tell if this was money well spent or not.

Re: HID kits on the cheap.
OK Wise Guy!
There were 2 decals in the box that I can stick on the ballast if I want to. No 35 0r 55 on either decal. this is with 2 pair of glasses. I have a question. is there a delay for the HID's to come on after the headlights are turned on? If so, is the delay more than an hour or two? I put the hid thingies in where the regular bulbs fasten in and plugged the connector that was on the regular light into the hid wiring. It plugged in fine but neithter side came on. Do I need to run a power supply other than that to the hid stuff?? Someone please that has them let me know what the story is. Nothing came with this mess that gives a clue. Thanks, Keith ![]() (now I am confuser alright!) |

Re: HID kits on the cheap.
Just kiddin ya cause you are a nice guy. I believe the svx is one of those ground activated cars. You just need to reverse the wires on the plug that the car's stock plug plugs into. That sounds weird. give me a call and I can tell it to you better.
