So upset right now

I just came home from the shore and travelled on route 18, which is pretty dark at night. I was going around a bend only to find a giant piece of bent sheet metal lingering in my lane. I couldn't swear to avoid it by the time I saw it, so I ran it over.

It completely cracked one of my front splitters and scratched up my bumper pretty bad. Luckily nothing else is damaged underneath the car. It sucks that I have to replace the splitter (hopefully I can buy just one to replace it) and I also got a parking ticket from a meter (which I thought wouldnt be required after labor day).

Talk about a crappy night.

Dude we're running in parallel, I just got home from dropping off my moving truck and on my way back to my new apartment I ran over a friggin semi tire tread hiding on a blacktop chunk of the highway. It messed up my lower cover panel/skid plate and totally jacked the air dam on my VR6.............

One time, in the fall late night, it was so foggy. I was driving my mazda about 50-55mph down the hill. I admit I didn't pay good enough attention - - I could do better if I paid more attention. Suddenly, I saw a lot of blood on the road

I still maintained about the same speed at the low visibility. Oh ****, in few seconds, I saw a dead deer body at the middle of the road which was ran over and over by a lot of people. You could see the bones everywhere -- it probably just happened few mins before I got there.

I had no enough time to avoid it for my speed and I had to let it go under my car. I knew I dragging the dead body for a short distance since my mazda sportcar was kind of low ---

Nothing was really damaged but the next day time I checked, I saw some deer hair and the blood messed up my front spoiler's paint a little bit.

It turns out that I did run over a truck tire tread. After looking at it in broad daylight I was able to see the extent of the damage.

The whole lower panel cladding is black from the tire. The Front splitter is cracked in a few places and the screw holes are stripped out. My rims are also black from the tire.

After washing it and appling rubbing compound most of it seemed t ocome out.

I just priced out getting the splitter reglassed, shaped and painted for about $250.

Not to mention I just got another parking ticket (which was my fault anyway) and earlier in the week someone stuffed hard boiled eggs in through the gap in my windows.

Hello to all..as my first post I must say svx damage is heartbreaking. 2 months ago a punk kid about 17 punched out my right rear quarter window which was tinted to gain access inside, deciding there was nothing he could get, or wasn't smart enough to get it, he then moved to the back of the car to pry off the trunk key cover..where I caught him at 4:30 am. He pulled a rather large blade out and shook it at me as he ran off down the road..it felt like someone ripped my heart out..I empathise Tim..and all this happened in my own driveway..

..there is no pain like svx pain

Where are you in Eastern WA State? We have a Northwest SVX group here which is a local group of the SVXWN. We are going to have another meet in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks guys... the svx has been dropped off to the body shop to get repaired again. It's way too early to bring it in for the repaint I plan on doing next year so I am just getting the splitter repaired, repainted and the bumper blended again so it will still look decent until next summer.

70k on her, local dealer had huge incentives on the 08 tribeca, tricycle motors are growing, takes regular gas, so we traded in.

The tribeca is luxurious. But I miss the fxt's tossability and that turbo.

I am north of spokane earl, eventually would like to get more involved in meets, etc. My home away from home is cagayan de oro, philippines..strangely enough they have never heard of a subaru there, and I have never seen one there

..but they have every other jap car there. Projects projects..never enuff time..but quarter windows are still readily available from dealer, about 190 bucks..but ya gotta gut the rear interior to get one in..geez..dont ya just love mis-directed teenagers?
