Engine ECU
Hi everyone,i was doing a wiring for my heated seat switch and noticed the ECU not installed correctly,so removed with the intention to properly re-fit ,and noticed a sticker on the top ,'FLATT SVX,DATA SVD2WA'.Begin to be curious, opened the box and find inside a chip on the corner with a same writing. Also on the middle of the printed circuit a yellow resistor standing out with one of the legs disconected.I had few of this cars, but never come accross this before.Any idea?,thanks,Istvan

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Istvan, Your ECU has been chipped by Flatt Racing, a subaru tuner based in Japan. Most likely they have modified the fuel and timing in a similar way to Longassname's ECUtune stage 1. They may also have disabled the 180km/h speed limiter and raised the rev limits. ![]() http://www.flatt-racing.com You may have seen the thread in the technical section where we are trying to reverse engineer the stock ECU and TCU. It is extemely rare to find a modifed JDM ECU and I would really like to download and examine the software from it sometime. As for the part number on the chip, SVXD2WA. SVX obviously refers to the type of car. D2 is the code for a stock 1992 JDM ECU, presumably they used this as a base for their modifications. I don't know what WA refers to.
