Apparently they were not hurt. If the man was killed I would be asking Alan to remove the video out of sensitivity for the family.
It's OK to laugh at peoples' stupidity, but if the mistake caused a death, then it would be unkind to show it here, or anywhere else. Having said that, this FAIL thread is brilliant, the funniest in yonks! Joe

From what I can see Tom, if you look where the point of the awning hit the trailer, it is quite far over to the left of the trailer. The awning looks to be reinforced concrete, it is not wood or anything light.
It came down hard like a press or a guillotine on the extreme right of the cab. I would say it probably sheared off the outer cab body including the cab door. The guy probably made the mistake of thinking once the truck was clear, he was free to go. I'd say the drawn trailer is a tad wider than the truck. He was lucky in his stupidity. Joe
