Still some stereo noise.

Hey guys.
I'm still experiencing alot of noise coming into my amps from the alternator and various other devices. Specifically when the engine is on. I now noticed that whenever i have the ventilation system to high, the speakers immitate the sound that the vent motor is making. Engine whirr is also heard through the speaker. I grounded the ground loop isolator wire on my rca's, as well as re-did all grounds under the hood and to my amps with 4 gauge. All paint was stripped and ground down to bare metal, including the bolt. A new 4 gauge wire was ran from the alternator housing to the battery also.
I'm running out of options here. I reduced the noise tremendously, but it still exists. It's getting on my nerves.
And yes, the wires were ran on the opposite sides of the car.

are the amp grounds going to the same ground point that the battery goes to? maybe try a noise filter on the power lead.

No, they are not grounded at the battery, and should never be. The battery is grounded under the hood. The amps are grounded to the hatch latch, and i've stripped all paint with a grinder. Believe me, it's a perfect connection.

A noise filter is not an option since it reduces sound quality

I don't believe it because I did the same thing and it didn't ground correctly either. I had to remove a strut tower bolt to find a decent ground. I was getting interferance as well.

You don't believe it? Well then please don't reply. I don't appreciate people calling me a liar. I ground off all the paint, varnish, and stripped the bolt and surrounding latch area to BARE METAL. I've checked with a voltmeter, and the ground is perfect. Same EXACT voltage as at the battery. I also have a capacitor in the back, so power is not the problem. The problem is incredible interference. I hear popping sounds when the brake light goes on and off while the deck is muted, as well as the heater motor whirring when it's on.
So it's obviously interference throughout the length of the RCA and not just the ground.

Heh ok then....

Anyways, why not try running a straight RCA from the head unit to the amp, without putting it along the floorboards then. I don't see anything electrical that could be causing your problem in running it back there, but who knows maybe there is a nick in your RCA cable or something you haven't found.

That's a very good possibility, nvrmore, because upon further troubleshooting, i found that its my monstercable pair making most of the noise, when compared to the stinger hyper rcas. The monster cable rcas come with the ground loop isolator, and cost alot more than the stinger, so this incident is quite ironic. And frustrating, to say the least.

if its a perfect connection, why do you get all the noise? i didn't say to ground it to the battery- i said the same POINT as the battery. mine is grounded to the same point the battery is, on the sheetmetal below it. all the metal between your hatch latch and the negative terminal of the battery is resistance. i have no noise whatsoever, excellent sound.

...and the ground noise is better?
