Tom sweetheart.....sometimes it just isnt worth the time.......
LOL.... This is all very sad. I am not talking about the fact that an SVX is be parted out. The whole tone of this thread is just disgusting. Ensteele tried to get tmak to "simmer down" and he shoved it right back at Earl. Not a bright move on your part. You are a newbie here and Earl is, well Earl.

Whether you like it or not, Tom is right. Tmak, you are not going to get back what you think in part $$$. Maybe that does not mean alot to you though. I mean $$ must be pretty good with that porsche on the way, huh? So, just to spite people the car will be parted out for more work and less $$ than you would get just selling for the $750 that was offered.

BTW the "I bought my house for 150k and could sell it for 230k" was single handedly the stupidest analogy I have ever heard here. Houses Appreciate in value generally and cars Deppreciate. If that was the case I would be buying every used car in sight putting them in my barn and them selling them 2 years later. And I wouldn't even blow the motors first either

One of the pics he has of the "splashpan" that he sold on ebay looks like its leaning up on the makeshift underpinning of a TRAILER! Whats that crisscross stuff called? Lattice? Not that theres anything wrong with living in a trailer, just kinda funny I think from the run of posts ive read! And it may not be but its my thoughts on it and I can say it if I wanna...I shudda been an investigator.
Well........dip me in axle grease and call me slick! Did ya'll see the movie cars?

You guys are funny, getting all worked up over a car that is not even yours. Let me make this the last post on the subject. I really don't care what you think, it really makes no difference to me. If you don't like me, you are welcome to ignore me. I am not going to lose sleep over it, I promise. Also here is a thought, please don't try to force others to believe the same way as you. It's just not going to happen, well unless you are Hitler. Anyway have fun, I dont want to drag this on and on. There are more things to do in life than just SVX. I got the car towed to another location now, so I am not stressed out about it like I was last week. Have fun....

The last time I checked, the SVX can barely cover the property taxes for my new car. Yes I am dirt poor......

The end

Saw this before I was going to close. I bought my 69 Camaro 4 years ago for $7000, sold it for $13000 a few months ago. Yes, cars depreciate real fast. Havent you learn, buy low and sell high? Isnt that what they teach in school?

Oh yeah, didnt see this one.

Regardless if I make it back or not, that is still nobody's business. If I make a decision, I prefer to stick by it. If I am right, that's great. If I am wrong, sucks for me. Who would it hurt other than myself? Before you tell me about how I am destorying the car, think about how many people wrecked theirs. Just think....

It's not about the $250 difference anymore, it's more like I want to prove people wrong (after all the personal attacks) and I like to stand by what I said. If I don't get $1K as a complete car, I have no problem of parting it. I just moved the car to my other location, so I can take my time on it now. The doors remain open, it might get sold tomorrow. It might get chopped up, donated, traded in, or even converting it to a $2008 GRM challenge car too, who knows. The only thing I know is that I still own the car and I can do things I want to it. You don't have to agree with me, but the personal attacks are uncalled for (not that i care).

I am not going to say how much the new car is, but the deposit I put down is more than what the car is worth....

I swear, no more opening to this thread now.

That is an exception, not the rule. Not many cars can be rolled into a barn someplace and left for a few years and then make a profit.

I have not seen any personal attacks other than yours. Your attitude stinks and you talk about the world according to you and how it is. You are new here don't know anything about who WE are or HOW we feel about the SVX.

Again, please calm down and stop lashing out at others. If you can do and say what you want, then why can't others believe and express what they want?

Like nobody here has a clue as to what the ballpark range is for a Cayman... You have every right to do what you want with it, but to say that you will part it out just to spite other people shows the maturity of a 7 year old.

Arrow Car is on Ebay

Tom,

What gives, are you having second thoughts about parting it. Its costing you at least $50 to list this on ebay. Why go thru all this debating about it with other members. This thread is way too long. I would have taken it off your hands for $800. Sell it or forget it. You can do what you want of course. I just wouldnt have wasted the money putting it on ebay. You should have sold it to one of us, and stating what you quoted, that you dont need to sell if for financial reasons, you then contradict yourself by not wanting to sell it for the offers you received, and then say you could make more money parting it. When you start off by saying your not selling it for financial reasons, then why on earth would you even mention and or threaten to part it to make more money. Yes, we know the SVX is not a street racer, or track monster, but the people on this network love it for what it is, plain and simple. I met you in person, and you seemed like a very nice guy, but some of your comments here are ridiculous and unnecessary. I myself love the SVX for its uniqness and style. I didnt buy it for street racing or bragging rights in the 1/4 mile, we all know that. I didnt like you bashing it, and putting it down. I've had my share of fast cars and 1/4 mile racers. Thats what my mustang cobras were for. At the time all I was interested in was having the fastest car in town. 13 sec, wasnt fast enough, 12.5 neither. The speed game is a totally different animal, as you may or may not know with your Z. Im sure most if not all svx owners arent cruising the blvd., looking to race, like your typical ricers. You never got the opportunity to truly appreciate the SVX, you started off on the wrong note, when you purchased it as a winter beater. Trust me I, and if not all svx owners did not buy their svx to be used as a winter beater. Only reason you bought your svx as a winter beater, was because you got it for peanuts, and obviously the previous owner knew something they didnt tell you. Regardless, just be considerate of what other people appreciate. Nuff said, end of story. If your car doesnt sell on ebay, just do what you want with it Ok. No need to stir up more controvesy.
