It's funny you should say that.
I mentioned recently that the all-over bright silver from the later cars [the US did not get them I think] is the most handsome of the bunch in many ways. The silver seems to complement the curvy fenders of the SVX. Joe ![]()

My first SVX (a '94 FWD) was Lagana BLUE, which has to be my favorite. My son got the BLUE one when I got my '97 Brilliant RED. Subsequently, his BLUE one was totaled and he then bought a Polo GREEN '96 (also totaled later - neither his fault) - a beautiful car. But my favorite still has to be the BLUE.
BTW, I drove the '94 BLUE one for five years and was NEVER stopped by the cops. I had the RED one for a week and was stopped (the cop just wanted to look at it, fortunately. I even had my son in the car with me ![]() Harry

pearlies are certainly going to be the bigger collector item.
Teal seems to be more rare, but I just don't like it (owning one) I'd take a black or pearlie any day over my teal one. |

Considering they are "pearl" colours, the dark greens [or blues if you prefer] such as Teal or Emerald or Peacock Blue, these colours have very little "life" in them. They do not stand out or get notice.
Polo Green is pretty good, but the darker ones are fairly dead looking. The Pearl White Mica is a stand-out colour. I do agree with you, as our cars get on in years and begin to make "classic" status, the more stand-out colours will win the hearts of the collectors, and only a few will go for the "rare colour" status. Which reminds me, as Laguna Blue is both a rare colour, and is showy, then anybody who has a low mileage well minded Laguna will achieve classic status or ascend in value quicker than most. ![]() Joe ![]()

True.
More than any other thing, that early grill dates the car. But as you say, looks better than OK with the silver. I think the body colour '97 grill looks best, particularly for dark cars. I'm not a fan of the chrome '97 grill, and no offense meant to any who have it. I know it is a genuine Subaru update. Just for me it is a little bling for the rest of the car, but it does look pretty good on the newer bright silver. Joe
