Wow

Wow...great timing. I just took a busted AWD tranny out of a '92. Front diff case was cracked, but I see no issues with the rear portion. I cannot guarantee the condition of the internals, though. Send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. Is there some way to inspect the internals? Is there any reason a busted front diff would affect the rest of the trans?

Im sure one of the more transmission wise members can weigh in on that but at a casual glance I dont think it would affect the back of the transmission and our front diffs arent what I would call bullet proof. I am most certainly interested for sure... lets see what anyone may throw up knowledge wise. If you dont mind PMing me what you may be asking for it... any reasonable request is fine w/ me as I honestly dont know its realative worth.

use a 12v source on both wires for the sol.C to see if it works. Have the clutches in the correct place when doing it. The solenoid should click and you will notice movement of the clutches if there is still fluid in the housing
