How to un-pimp da auto

Well, if you all dont remember, I bought one hell of an ugly svx, but it had a 5 speed. Well, Im back from a temp military assignment and it is time to un-pimp and then re-pimp my auto! Ive already torn off the front and side body work and reinstalled most of it, now on to the rear bumper. Check my locker in the restoration folder for pics! Im going to try to get the rest of the body parts on and start sanding today, then I will shoot the primer in the next few days... let me know what you guys think!

Bravo!!

Looks like you are saving another SVX from an untimely and very tasteless death. I cussed when I first saw that car on Ebay. I hope the 5 speed is a better install than the rest of the garbage.

Thank you for saving the SVX from the untimely wrath of a retarted teenager!! Seriously.

just curious, are you lucky enough to have his desacration limited to only the outside, or did he "Improve" the interior as well?

The interior just got painted on the dash trim with what looks to be model paint, I am also sanding that down and will be repainting the pieces black. The car also had an lcd built into the suede peice above the glove box, but it got stolen about a week after I got the car and I have already replaced it with the original piece. The wiring was all jacked up for the radio as well and that has been repaired.

Man that is one SWEET looking SVX. ....oh wait, we're looking at the restoration folder.

Haha just kidding. you should e-mail the guy you bought it from and show him. What a waste of all that useless works. Looks like the project is coming along nicely. But...

Why all the work? I know it's an svx, but what's so special about this one - low mileage?

5 speed

Although Id go back and check his work with a very, very fine tooth comb (although you could probly find mistakes with a field goal post)
Quick jugment here.....the previous owner didnt know crap about cars. Didnt even know how to do something wrong the RIGHT WAY. And a transmission adding 250 or more horsepower...yeah.
Good thing your fixing that svx

I remember that now
:shaking head:

Maybe he bought it as a 5 speed, and did the improvments... just taking credit for the 5 speed. I hope this one doesn't die on the table. 5 speed at a good deal can be enough to go through all the work esp. if he wanted a custom color anyway ya know. If he said his color plans, I missed em.. I'm just sayin.

shes going to be an ebony... as far as sending him pics, if I had the money Id send him his queer ass body parts back and the glue that was holding some of them on. He damaged the car when HE was loading it on his trailer to take to the shipping depot and has yet to correct the situation(its been like 3 months now) anyways, I finished up installing the oe body parts and I will be sanding in the morning. Also, when the 5 spd swap was done they didnt change the speedo sensor, so Ive installed that and I just need to extend the wires. Ive also got a new lcd alarm that I will be putting in and Ive got to take my brake rotors to get turned. Lots of work, but its worth it for that extra 250 hp
