Proud owner of some 2005 STi Wheels

Just one some Sti Wheels and tires(only 3k) off eBay for $1030 shipped and should get them on Thursday.
I'm really excited and will post pictures as soon as I get them on the car.
I really just have one question. What kind of lug nuts am I going to need?
Are any aftermarket nuts good enough as long as the threads match?

Congrats! Are they silver or gold STI wheels?

I don't think you'll need any specialty lugs for them and most 12mmx1.25mm lugs you can pick up from a parts store should work (to be 100% sure PM Bwana as he has a set of gold STI wheels on his SVX). The stock SVX lugs won't work as they have that spacer built into them.

They are silver and I will PM Bwana to find out for sure. Does anyone know how many of us have the STi Wheels?

We should be the only ones. Glad you got silver...not sure how gold would look on green.

The stock STi lugnuts work like they were designed for...oh wait, they were designed for the wheels.

I'm sad now that I'm not the only one.

Here's a color reference. The RS is a different green from the SVX, but I threw in a green SVX for comparison.

Hey bwana,
At least you can say that you were the first one to get STi wheels and the first with Gold ones. And I can be the first with Silver ones.

aftermarket applications

What about going with an 18x8.5 SSR GT2 rim. They are light at 17.2 lbs. They are expensive though. My point is there are a lot of aftermarket wheels that fit STi's. I would hate to buy them and have them not fit though. offset is +48mm.
