Stalling
I have a 92 that is stalling at random times. There is no frequency to this. It starts up as soon as I put it in neutral, and turn the key. The dealer here in Kansas City are very nice, they hooked it up and drove it around, but of course it did not do it. There were no codes, even though the check engine light has come on twice. They didn't think it was the MAF, they had tried to "tick it off" thunping the houseing, but the car did not stall. I called a dealer in PA who had a couple used ones for sale, and they told me to G&B it. That would clean the intake valves. How would a TB cleaning kit clean the carbon off the valves. And my real question is would carbon causing the intake vavles to stick open cause the car to stall?
Thanks, Collin |

If the CEL came on there will be a stored code. Random stalling is usually a sensor like the crank/cam angle sensors.

Thanks, I think I will put new ones in. The dealership sees two SVX's a year, so they may not be the ones to ask. I will let everyone know how it goes. I saw a few other posts with stalling cars.
