Built motor

Any idea where I can get parts to build a high hp normally aspirated 3.3 motor? I feel like I'm looking for a needle in a haystack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Future

Any future possibilities, even the smallest chance? I have seen these motors built for sandrails, there has got to be something out there!

there is minimal engine mods (or any other mods) avail. for the svx... you pretty much have to custom build the engine

Research?

Have any of the engine experts on here researched what Subaru did to the current 3.0 engine to get 250 HP out of it? Up from the previous approx 215 HP. Might be possible to do the same to the 3.3? Hummmm......

Try Crower at www.crower.com .... they make you the parts you need for your high performance engine... you just have to specify what you want

COBB Tuning

I spoke to Cobb Tuning about a Stroker kit a few months back. They were will to put one together (pistons & Rods) that would lower compression and handle higher boost for a supercharger for 5 Grand. I imagine they could do a high compression one for about the same.

Pistons and Rods for 5 grand only???? that's too much, Crower will modify everything in the engine except cranks and valves/springs... for less than that.. billet pistons,etc....... check my thread concerning my emails with Crower...
And it is less than 5 Grand

Diff?

Are you saying that the 2004 3.0 engine is completely different than the 2005 3.0?

There are some small chances... But ya might not like it...

One is an Australian Company called Rigoli Racing... They have built an SVX motor that produced 700hp.... It was turbocharged though ....

The other option would be to source pistons, rods and other similar performance parts for the 2.2ltr motor... Rigoli also has parts for this motor. Just look hard, I'm sure that you'll find something ....

Like other have said its a complety diffrent engine, but subaru managed to get a fair amount of power by adding varible valave timing, on the intake, and exhaust valves. Which would be a huge feat to do to a 3.3. Compltley costom evervything.
