PWR

Darn, I called PWR today and Maria said the Radiators would not be ready until next week. Of course they are extending the group buy deadline as well. I guess it's going to be another week of driving a mobile sauna/steam room.

Just remember that they were shipped from somewhere else, and who know what work they want to do to them before they are shipped out. I would rather have a slight delay than get something I don't think is a quality product. Let's hope that is what's happening.

But when I called on Wednesday, they said all was fine, and they were shipping them out.

Chris, did you let them know about the filler necks prior to your leaving?

PWR

They said it was finish work that needed to be done, I wasn't told what it involved. I'm sure the product will be awesome and I would rather have any issues fixed now.

not tryng to be a bummer to anyone but this project keeps hitting these stumbling blocks. I am personally getting tired of hearing the phrase "I am willing to wait for a good product" Personally i feel we have been jerked around on this deal for some time now. I know the rads will be shipped next week but I am just getting angry. This has been pushed back going on 3 motnhs at the least. It has just gotten annoying to be caught up in this mess. I just want it to be done ASAP so I can put my worries to rest. Sorry for anyone I have offended, just needed to get that off my chest.

Completely understandable Tom. You showed interest in this from day one back in mid November, and it has held up selling your 2nd SVX for several months now. That would be frustrating to a saint.

You were part of the original 20 that made this possible, and I personally thank you for that. Just hang in there for one more week.

If it's any consolation Tom, the radiator hoses won't be going out until the first week of March anyway, so you will probably have the radiator and still be waiting on those.

My SVX is now gone, sicksubie picked it up this morning. I now have the dreadful one month wait for mine

Later!

hey, u wanna do the work earlier just let me know. It should only take about a solid day of work to get it all done. Much easier to drop a motor in an auto car than an MT.

Of course. I let them know withing the first 24 hours. The second time I talked to them it sounded as if they were going to send the radiators to the US without the filler neck and the nesessary would would be completed here. All that needs to be done is 1/4 inch taken off the bottom of the filler neck before welding it on. I used a ball peen hammer to make some mroe clearance on my by hammering in some more clearance on the underside of my hood (on the inside secondary skin). No, I did not dent my hood (at least not visable from the outside).

Cool! Then it's probably just those brackets they were talking about earlier. No biggee... It would just take a little time to do that many radiators at one time. They will probably have them shipped by Wednesday latest.

Say what?

I am unsure of something here...

Chris, are you saying that in addition to the removal of 1/4" from the filler neck a ball peen hammer must be used to hammer a dent in the underside of the hood to prevent the Rad cap from comming in contact with the hood?

That is to say that once I get this drop-in replacement I have to take a BFH to my car?

Say it aint't so....

John

No hammer

No, they are fixing it on the radiator filler neck, that is the hold up.
