its finally time

its finally time to let the svx go...
i'm sad...
i've been without the car for like 7 months and was so close to having it back on the road again, until tuition bill showed up...
not only will i not be able to pay for the labor, i can't afford to have a liability that requires me to pay more money into... (out of state tuition sucks)

so, here's what you'll get: 92 black svx. awd. located near chicago, IL. the svx has half a sound system installed (amp and speakers and a tube sub, but the factory head unit is not wired), almost new slotted and drilled rotors. this used to be a california car, and the last time i drove it, i remembered no rust. good body, good paint (good for a 92, not showroom condition). engine is at 161k, but ran very strong until the tranny went.

you also get all the parts for a 5spd swap and a bad auto tranny. basically think of this kit as a 5spd svx that you have to put together yourself. you might need a misc. part here and there but everything i got from todd from like 7 months back are going to you.

plus, i'll mail you lwin's old lcd set up.

i'm asking for 2800 for everything. especially if you have the mechanical knowhow, you can have her up and running in no time. buyer must be responsible for the towing from the shop that the car is currently in.

-- ** miles get first dibs cuz he helped out so much when i was still trying to put the car together THANKS SO MUCH!!

*** my mr2 is for sale too red 91 na 120k miles, custom intake, catback, pace setter headers, agx struts, suspention tech springs, cf hood, fg engine lid, t-tops, speakers, mp3 player, trd short shifter, ss brake line, slotted and drilled rotors. 4000 or best offer

make me an offer, please!!

well... seems like there are no takers...
the svx will be available until 12.19... make me a reasonable offer on the car, the trannies, or both
i get done with finals on the 18th and will be in chicago the 19th or 20th, at that point, if there are no takers, i'm going to my shop to tell them to junk the car for me and try to take whatever i can from that (still have to pay the shop some too) and at that point, i guess there will be one less svx on the road =(

its been good times folks.... hopefully in the near future (like when i get a job after i get done with school) i'll be able to afford a svx again...

I would still like to know what they are out of, and how many miles on the tranny.

well... the car is not back up running yet... but close....
the tranny was supposed to be fixed... but when i picked up the car last week it felt really weird so that same night i drove it back to the shop for them to look at it again...

the guys at the shop said that they drove it a bit and didn't feel anything wrong so i'm going down to chicago this weekend to see take a drive with the shop guys to figure out what's wrong

then i'm planning to take the car to schaumburg subaru and get all the small parts fixed... (ac) i was going to get the windows regulators done there but i might be getting the parts a bit cheaper from a member on this forum...

so, hopefully the svx will be back and running soon

update:
yup the svx is up and running... but with so many tlc flaws that i really don't want to deal with:

flexplate (have replacement part, but not installed)
common oil leak (not sure what's leaking tho)
pass. window dead (probably a clip because the motor is running... have a bunch of clips from subaruparts.com)
sunroof won't close completely (but its amazing how dry the car is when i've been driving it in the stormy weather for the past two days)
door lock is funny... works sometimes... so i'm not locking the car anymore
ac not cold...
engine's got that ticking sound....

but on the other hand, its got a new rebuilt tranny with warranty, all the glass is good, all the body parts are good cept for the drivers sill and the front bumper...

... at this point, i'm looking to get a svx with less problems because i'm just not mechanically inclined enough to deal with this one... so the svx is probably going on ebay sometimes next week... or if anyone on the board is interested... i'm taking offers.... $2500 or best offer

any takers?
$2300 for a svx in good running condition (less than 1000 miles on the new tranny).... i admit there are lots of flaws, but with tlc, this will be a very nice svx...

i get done with finals on thursday.... if no offers by then, this is going on ebay
