What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Got the spoiler, rear quarters and rear bumper painted. Also got some dings taken out and some scratches buffed out.

Looked underneath for what is making a tinny rattling/vibration on acceleration. Nothing obvious but I suspect the cats as they sound 'loose' when tapped.

Any suggestions on what could be vibrating? It sounds pretty crappy.

Most likely heat shields on the exhaust. Get some sturdy ramps and look for loose stuff.

Started mine after sitting for a couple of weeks. Ran rough for a min then smoothed out. Debating on whether to drain the tank and try and flush it while in the car or drop it (ugh) and do it

Took the fuel pump out of my '92 LS-L parts car and put it in my beater '97 Legacy GT wagon. The fuel pump in that one died yesterday after 15 years and 235,000 miles- I'm pretty sure it was the original.

Well not today, but yesterday. Found the remote and keys to my blue SVX that had been missing for some time. Now I have 2 sets of keys for each car, each with a remote:

Changed my 7 year old motor oil :eek (to those wondering, my car is hybernating in a garage with weekly engine cranks.)

I have wash my car, and set it in for the winter in a warm garage.
The winter plans its to change the 2.2tranny from a 2,5.
And take the engine out and replace some gasked and timing belt etc.

No, it closes fully like OEM Moreover, front panel is anti-theft removable

Got my FSM's rebinded, now I don't have everypage falling out and flying around.

Got a teal spoiler out of a suby yard in the middle of no where for cheap, had a few chips but didnt really matter when i have a black deck. Sanded it down, ready for primer and paint.

Tore into the timing belt on the claret I just picked up with 88k miles. Wouldn't start when I picked it up and sounded like no compression. I pulled the one side cover to see the belt was glazed over so let it sit til I got a chance to tear in.



That's what happens to 15 year old, 88k mile idlers. (car was sitting for almost 4-5 years before I picked it up.

Polished my headlights yesterday. It's amazing how fast they turned yellow after the first time they were polished.
