Right, that is your email I was referring to, my point was, you didn't get a response about the red concept? In my pic folder, I have the shot of the red concept from the passenger side, with hood and trunk open. In reading your emails, I thought you sent three different pics of the red concept, and I only had one in my pic folder, that's what I was asking, is there a third pic of that car? Another clue, in the background of the shot with hood open appears to be a RHD car. That fact, and the prototype on the other side of the red concept in the shot you just posted, may confirm that the car was in Japan? Some Subaru design facility in Japan? Any idea where or in what publication those red car pics were first published? Maybe that info would help in the search? Like you, I would like to know more about that concept. I just received an email from Trick Hawthorne, editor of Drive Performance: "John, Space requirements gave us a short article on about one-third of a page in the next issue of Subaru Drive Performance (Version 6.2, to be mailed at the end of July). I used your information for the article, and we have images from Tim Eng. Our designers, Tim Schroeter and Randy Schirz, have contacted him. Thanks for your help. Ric" While I wasn't expecting a 100-page booklet like Road and Track's Guide to the Past ten Years of Reading", I was expecting at least a one-page article... Get out your magnifying glasses to find yourself in the group shot .

Perhaps the article will help drive up the demand and possibly even value of our cars? I can't tell you how many times I've heard from WRX owners (and numerous other Subie owners)..... "WTF is an SVX?"

But bear in mind that the magazines are targeted at owners (and potential owners) of current models, so they'll always favor content that the largest audience will find useful. If Drive was already planning on running an SVX 20th anniversary article (take a look at the Legacy 20th article in the current Spring issue), anything we do may still be relegated to a smaller sidebar. I'm happy for whatever press they give us, and am looking forward to seeing the Summer issue.
