I just got up this morning and bought an SVX
Yes!
After 6 months of searching, pondering, investing, calculating... 1 of the 7 SVXes originally sold in Norway was offered for sale today. After checking out the service book, receites from 2004 and onwards I called all the shops that did services and work on the car and they all vouched for for it. Authorized sube shop had a full written report.Apparently they enjoyed the "quality assurance" drives and the mech who did the work in december wanted to buy it himself etc etc (I bought if from a private person, not the otherwise reputable Subie shop). It was in shop two days ago to have its cruise control fixed (leaky vacuum hose). A lot of work has been done over the years with the transmission's center diff, cluch, valves, oil etc repaired in december and rotor swaps, bearings blablabla.. It was a well kept car with only a few things that I will fix asap just to keep it in top shape. It's a genuine VTD and the back rotors have been changed rather than the front ones ![]() MY96, Bordeaux Pearl, no spoiler. 133K km (not miles) 169Kw, not 162 like the other european ones. Interior is in really good condition with very little wear on the seats VIN: JF1CXWLE0TG008117 Will post pics when I retrieve it. Will order JDM spoiler an aluminum dash kit! First thing up is getting a major overhaul including timing belt (due for swap in July), all the stuff behind it, possible leaks and maybe even the head gasket if I get a good price. Exhaust will be changed. Second thing up is getting the alus refurbished as they have rash. And then buy new Potenzas. Third thing is getting a full respray but that can be veeery expensive, maybe for next year. |
