New to forum and need some opinions on SVXs.

Hey all. I'm a 26yo guy stuck out in the middle of nowhere Oklahoma and am an aspiring auto tech. I found two SVXs for sale nearby and would love to get some feedback from people who know more about the SVX than I do.

Here's what he's selling:

Green '95 SVX- Perfect body, paint and glass, good interior, no rust, 130,000 miles. Seller says it needs to rev high before it will shift and sounds to me like it may have lost 3rd and 4th gear. Probably needs tranny replaced.

Silver/black '92 SVX- Perfect body, paint and glass, leather interior, no rust, 93,000 miles. Seller says it's mechanically perfect but his grandson replaced the battery and hooked up the terminals backwards causing the TCU to burn out.

Seller is asking $2,000 for both.

I would love to get one running fairly easily for the 10 mile round trip drive to work every day while having the other as a project car. Just don't know if the seller is full of crap. Should I invest in these or should I just hunt down one for sale elsewhere? Any help with this would be appreciated.
