SVX with golden rims?
Hi!
I've been looking for SVX parts and found a dude that chop two of his SVX (both of them has trany failure). The thing is - he didn't even try to find what car he's killing. One of them was a '97 one ;( Any way - he offered me his wheels which he said was originals – special edition SVX rims in gold paint.  The question is – was there any “special” version of SVX which comes with those rims or it’s just a fake to sell them? BTW – our Police still has this (1997) car in record and it’s one of 13th (including mine) still registered (not sure they are running). Regards Flipper

There were never any special gold rims for the SVX. He's bs you to buy them.

But they're from an STi. No SVX ever came with factory goldies.

Sure, I don't have any really good ones though. Someone else has an Ebony SVX with gold BBS rims and took a few good pictures.

I think my claret would look fantastic with Gold rims with a gold hood ornament also. A light gold, not dark.

Is there a good way to just paint the regular wheels gold??
What about paining them the same color as the car?? I bought a new 90 white legacy with grey hub caps and painted them white to match the car. Was pretty nice. Keith

Buy some gold paint here. You probably want to do the usual prep work, clean, sand, prime as necessary.
As for body coloured wheels.....Never been a fan. Every time I see a mid 90's Grand Am with wheels that are matched to the car I feel a bit nauseous.

I mixed some STi enkie gold rim paint at work. I only painted the battery tie down but the color was dead accurate. I can get a paint code if needed.

Stock wheels look really gross gold and stock wheels with stock car color doesn't look to lovely either.. Sorry to say.
