Rear Speaker Access

How do you access the rear speakers? Do the plastic grills on the back deck pry off, or is there something else? I've got a rattle back there that's bugging me...

Re: Rear Speaker Access

Nope--it's a PITA to get to them. You have to take out the rear seat bottom, both rear trim panels, door sills and the rear shelf tray. (Unless someone knows a better way without modifying parts)

Cool Re: Rear Speaker Access

Yes + if you want to fit the rear deck de-ioniser/blower you also take out front seats + carpets + plastic tunnel under the seats!!!

Re: Rear Speaker Access

No trunk access as far as taking out and removing speakers, but if you're using very big speakers, you can leave off the upper cover on the inside of the stunk so they have more room.

Re: Rear Speaker Access

The first one I did it without removing the rear side panels but the seats and the seat backer panels did have to be removed but I don't recommend that way. lhopp77's method is pretty much correct. I still recommend putting in the adapters and converting to 6.5" round speakers especially if you are still running with the stockers.
