The Value of My SVX

Hey guys...I feel bad for only coming here when I need stuff but I'm working way too much to have time for forums.

And same goes with keeping 3 vehicles. I recently bought a 300ZXTT and I still have my bike and soon school starts and with my 16 units of upper division classes, along with working, I'll be lucky to get couple of hours of driving time a week. Unfortunately I'm a bit power crazy so the good ole SVX will hardly ever be driven.

So I was thinking about selling it. It's the better of my 2 options, which are selling or making it powerful.

So how much would you say she's worth? Obviously I'm in no hurry to sell and she's my baby so I'm not gonna settle for 3k or something like that.

Here goes:
-93 25th Anniversary
-~142k
-Rebuilt Tranny @135k
-Regasketed Engine @140k...compression was fine
-Enkei Raijin 18x8.5, with 255/35/18's
-BC racing RAM series Coilovers (From STI's)
-STI aluminum radiator custom fit
-aftermarket oil cooler for tranny
-Kenwood head unit with aux and usb and stuff
-rockford fosgate amp with custom enclosure with a SKAR audio 12"

the bad:
-paint in pretty bad condition
-Front CV boots are torn
-driver seat is torn at the sew line
-front tires are done
-rear toe rod is bent apparently. Can't be aligned like that.

What do you gentlemen think? I have pretty high expectations or rather hopes. She'll stay and get boosted if I decide against selling.

I think you'll be keeping the car. Honestly I think you'd be lucky to get 3K in it's present condition. It's crazy expensive to paint an SVX properly.

What Blacky said. Poor cosmetics, bad tires = low price.

Re: The Value of My SVX

Aftermarket axles are cheap and easy to replace.
The rear lateral link can be straightened.
Can you work on it yourself?

Re: The Value of My SVX

No value added for the coilovers and wheels? I know that mods don't increase value but how many SVXs do you see on aftermarket suspension?

When I say bad paint, it has rock ships and 2 dents lol its not faded or anything.
And axles are fine, the boot is torn cuz I went a bit too low on the coils and they're inverted so it cut into the boot!
Don't feel like painting but I can do the rest. And yes svxfiles, she has not seen a mechanic during the 3 years I've owned her.
Did it all myself

Would seem to me you need to fix everything that ain't cosmetic, then work from there. You first said "bad paint", then "just stone chips, & a couple "dents" (how big?). Which is it? For a higher price, most folks expect a VERY clean body. A GOOD paint job with dent repair will run north of 4-5K.
